Back to the grindstone!

Posted by Cheryl at 18:09
So it is back to work for me on Monday after an awesome week off. I feel very lucky to have so many holidays working in a school-I will be off again for 2 weeks in April and there aren't many jobs where you get 13 weeks off a year. However the downside is that I don't get paid for them so my pay packet definitely reflects that ;)

I have enjoyed relaxing this week and gettting out and about. Monday I went to Brighton with Michael and we stayed over in a hotel. We ate some lovely food, looked around the shops and sights and then met my friend Lucy for some dinner at JB's Diner. The evening was spent relaxing in our hotel and watching one of our favourite 80's films...I wonder if you can guess which one? It features a machine called Max ;)

On Tuesday, even with our luggage, we managed to get a lot packed in. We had a lovely Valentine's Day lunch at a restaurant called Donatello's in the old lanes and I had a huge spaghetti bolognese which is pretty much all I eat at Italian restaurants! Michael is always much more adventurous with food, I think his pizza had fish on it...urgh! Then we went to the pier and wasted money on 2p machines and we played the derby game where if you win you get a cuddly toy. Thankfully Michael is a pro at that sort of thing and I came home with a lovely new squishy tortoise called Donatello! ;) In the evening we watched Titanic-I have forgotton how cheesy that film is!

Wednesday I went with my mum to see "The Vow" at the cinema...I thought it was a great film actually. I want to see "This Means War" but they keep pushing the release date back which is a shame :/ Yesterday a few plans of mine changed so I didn't do much, the evening consisted of haribo, Connect 4 and the Fringe boxset...an exciting life I lead eh?

Today I went to Forever 21 with my mum and bought a new dress. I love that shop but not really liking their styles right now, it is all a bit too garish for me. I bought some more jewellery-I have a serious obsession with necklaces and earrings right now, below is a picture of what I have bought the past few months. My favourite are my owl things, I love owls! Who doesn't?

Michael is away seeing friends this weeked so I shall be boyfriend-less until Sunday afternoon. I am going to try and get some work done (I am currently studying a level 3 teaching assistant qualification) and watch some TV (Take Me Out-new favourite show) and maybe...maybe...clean? Probably not though.

Cheryl xoxo
