Spring in the air

Posted by Cheryl at 19:11
I am loving this new warm weather, it means I don't have to spend ages in the morning putting on my cardie, coat, scarf, earmuffs, gloves...plus my spring/summer wardrobe is much nicer than my winter one! I have made a few purchases recently I thought I would share; my mum and I went for some lunch and a mooch around the shops today and paid a visit to Primark. I tried on a few things but the only thing I bought was this cute boat ring. I love anything nautical. Excuse my creepy long fingers, I swear I was meant to be amazing at playing the piano but unfortunately I am not musically talented in the slightest.

Talking of nautical, I bought this super cute sailor syle dress from Forever 21 before Christmas and I have only just got around to wearing it. It is not the most easiest dress to wear, I thew my "comfort first" rule out of the window because of how cute it is.

Apart from shopping this weekend, yesterday I had a super evening with my boyfriend Michael and my friends Lucy and Grace. We spent the evening in a local pub-playing silly games and doing a quiz (which I won...I never win quizzes so I was rather excited). We also had some really tasty cocktails! I am not normally much of an alcohol drinker, it's never best for someone emotional like me to be let loose with too much booze! For the night out, I curled my hair with some super cheap curlers, it is so nice that it only takes me 15 mins now with shorter hair! Here was the result:
To get it that curly, I do it in small chunks and work my way around my head. Then I take some smaller strands from the top of my head and curl them again and brush it out slightly to get some volume-add a bit of hairspray and that's it!

The weekend, as always, has gone super quick and it's back for another week of work. Tonight will consist of a bubble bath, Dancing on Ice and some rather tasty Bernard Matthews turkey drummers and mini waffles. Sunday night television is pretty rubbish now that Downton Abbey has finished; I miss the Sundays in the 90's where 'Heartbeat' was followed by 'London's Burning' and I used to feel so grown up being allowed to stay up to watch it.

I am thinking of some more "tips" or advice posts I can give next week. I am thinking of doing a post about cheap days out. I also want to try and include some more pictures in my posts; I am thinking of getting a new camera at some point this year as this one is getting a bit tired. Admittedly I only bought it because it is pink, as with my laptop...so any recommendations would be gratefully received.

A few positive things to think about this weekend...

+ We booked a little Easter trip to Arundel in Sussex; we are staying in a cute little pub by the river and I can't wait to visit the castle, play some mini golf and look at the nice shops!

+ My phone is broken sadly which shouldn't be a positive but Phones 4 U where I bought it from, less than a year ago, are fixing it for me which means I don't have to buy a new phone! Money saved.

+ Only 5 weeks until 2 weeks off!

Until tomorrow (or maybe Tuesday!) xoxo

p.s: Keeping my fingers crossed that Sam stays in Dancing on Ice this week!

Your hair looks gorgeous when its all curly! Makes me want to stop doing such crazy haircuts/styles so I can have mine grow out. Damn, we just shouldn't be living continents apart- we would rule the streets with our cute dresses! Sigh.
