You will only get my blog title if you watch a certain Zooey Deschanel show that I am rather obsessed with right now! So for my post today I thought I would add a little bit more about myself if anyone is interested, I found a few good q&a's on a website to help me along.
What do you work as and do you enjoy it ?
I currently work as a teaching assistant in a primary school-I split my week between 2 classes so it can be a bit strange adapting sometimes. On Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays I help in a lovely Year 5 class and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays I work in the nursery which is attached to the school. Last year I worked in Year 6. As for enjoying the job, well I do and I don't. Certain elements are amazing-it is a wonderfully rewarding job as I see children grow and change and I love being a part of that. My contract ends in July and in September I would really like to move on. A lot of people say, well why don't you just stay? For me, I have no idea what career I want yet and to be honest, I do not care about my career. As long as I am enjoying it and earning enough money to get by, it could be anything. I want to be a mum in a few years time so I do not have any huge career plans.
Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?
Yes, I have been with Michael for 5 and a half years now and I can honestly say, he makes me incredibly happy. I see him as my partner for life and I want us to get married and have children someday, I don't care how cheesy that sounds! ;)
What music do you like?
My music tastes really vary to be honest. Most of the stuff I have on my Ipod is 80's but I am not ashamed to admit I love boybands and cheesy pop music. I am a big One Direction fan (I do have a poster, yes!) I also love an artist called Ladyhawke, her 80's electro style is amazing and I am seeing her live in May, I am so excited!
Are you close to your family?
My mum is my best friend and we are very close. I have also, in the past few years, been in contact with more and more family members and we are getting closer, which makes me happy.
What do you love?
Other than the obvious answers-family, friends etc, I love clothes! I also love food-I wish I could eat out at restaurants every day I just love the experience. I also love travelling, even if it is just on small trips. I must drive Michael mad by always planning to go away but I have a real travel bug! I also have a rather massive collection of DVD's, I love nothing better than sprawling myself out on my sofa and watching a good film (usually action/comedy or romance).
What do you hate?
I obviously hate rude people-when people push in front of me I have to compose myself not to punch them (slight anger issues there!). I also hate feeling let down, I have felt like that a lot in my life and it hurts a lot-probably because I never would treat anyone like that myself.
What would you say is your fashion style?
Random, completely random! I have changed my style quite a lot in the past years, I dressed like a bit of a ho when I was about 18 or 19. Now, I would say my style is quite girlie and a bit quirky. I love prints-cats, birds, hearts, anchors, shells, polka dots...I would rarely wear anything plain. I used to only wear dresses but I have a new found love for capri pants. I mostly buy from Forever 21 and H&M as they reflect my style perfectly.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Scary to think I would be 30. Well, let me think-I hope I will be a mummy! Also, I hope my dream is fulfilled of having a book published, it is a slow process but hopefully by then I would have finished my children's time travel book.
What is something that not many people know about you?
I don't shout about it but I suffer from depression and anxiety and have done since I was about 8. I am not in any way ashamed, I just don't normally bring it up. I do not take medication and I haven't done so for about 5 years now however I have had various bouts of therapy since I was young and most recently about 2 or 3 years ago. I have found the past year has been good for me-I deal with it by keeping myself busy, reading books and whilst I moan about work, it really does help me keep my mind focused. I have made some great friends online who also suffer and whilst it is not an easy road, I feel much happier than I have in a long time.
Do you watch television?
Well that is an understatement; I watch an unreasonable amount of TV every day! I am currently loving Gossip Girl, One Born Every Minute, House and Dancing on Ice. Reality TV is a big part of my life, sadly enough.
To be continued....:)
