The 3 day weekend is finally here and I couldn't be happier! Things have been a little tough at work recently (I won't go into too many details but onwards and upwards!) so an extra day off is always welcome. It is the closing date for a few jobs next week so I am hoping to hear from at least one of them, I have been busy getting my work portfolio ready just in case. I have found that this really helps me at interviews, it is just filled with observations I have made when I first started working in schools, pictures of displays I have made and certificates from courses etc.
I had a lovely evening last night just relaxing, Michael and I originally planned to go out for a meal...but the Friday feeling hit us so we just decided to stay in, he made us a yummy pasta and we watched a DVD I had bought. Now for comedy, this is probably one of my favourite if not my ULTIMATE favourite comedy-Harold and Kumar (Get the Munchies). It is ridiculously silly and you have to watch it with the expectation that you are watching a gross out type film (my favourite I have to admit...) and it is similar to an American Pie sort of style. Talking of American Pie, I am SO EXCITED to go and see the reunion film on Monday. I have been waiting for this for months and I have worn my boxset out in preparation (only films 1-3 though, who has ever watched the other ones?!). Tomorrow Michael and I are going to see our friends for a quiz day, which is what we do best! It involves a lot of fun, quizzes, yummy food and usually Michael getting his quizmaster hat on and preparing questions which are too hard even for someone whose IQ is 150! Slightly exaggerating there.
I have splurged my money too much this month (payday is still 10 days away, I cry) as I have had to pay for my holiday next month as well as bills and what not. However I have bought a few nice little purchases-I got this really cute unicorn t-shirt from New Look (originally it was £13 but I am so glad I waited until it was reduced to a fiver!) and also some cute jewellery from Primark and a few other bits and bobs. I have also seen these adorable cat shoes, which I have wanted for a REALLY long time but I can only seem to find online-how nice are they?! They are very me but my problem is, having big feet (I am a size 8!) I always have problems. Plus I think buying shoes online is a big no-no as every shoe feels different and what is a size 8 in one place may be completely different in another. Still, I truely love them.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend-anxiety wise things have been pretty good this week despite getting off to an icky start. I am trying to keep positive about work but at the end of the day, I have decided, that even if I am without work for a while I would rather just wait until I find something right for me. Whatever is meant to be, will happen...and hopefully it's good!

Hi Cheryl, it was great to see you and Michael today, I really had a fab day:-) Good luck with your job applications, I will keep my fingers crossed for you:-) You're right though, it's better to wait for the right thing to come along and whatever is meant to be will be! I love those cat shoes, they might go in the sale and then you could buy them without having to worry too much. Have a great rest of the bank holiday! xx
