Wow, it has been a while since I have blogged-it has been a busy week in Cherbear land and I haven't really felt like writing but life is pretty good right now! My new working hours are fantastic and have so far really helped eased my stress. I have used my afternoons off to relax and have some time to myself as well as doing lots of sorting out and a little bit of baking. I made a huge red velvet cake on on Tues and whilst it doesn't look amazing, it was actually quite tasty!
It is Michael's birthday on Tues and he is turning the big 30! He doesn't want much of a fuss but I have bought a few little decorations and I am going to pick him up a birthday cake. I have made him a little powerpoint presentation about Berlin seen as though there is nothing physical I can actually give him yet! We go 5 weeks today and we're very excited to visit lots of museums and and eat pretzels!
We went for an early birthday meal today as Michael and I are both working on his birthday sadly so I wanted to treat him to something nice this weekend. He chose a restaurant called 'Baltic' which I think I have mentioned on my blog before. It specialises in Polish and Russian food although this time we both went for the steak as it really is amazing. I used my Tastecard for 50% off and ended up saving over £20! The card itself only cost £29 so I would highly recommend it to anyone! For pudding I had the chocolate mousse and Michael had pear and ice cream...tasty times.
I can't believe Michael is about to turn 30! He was only 23 when I met him and time has just flown by. On his actual birthday I think we're just going to get a takeaway and watch a film. Hope you've all had a wonderful week!
xoxo
