30 things before 30....

Posted by Cheryl at 18:47
I have seen a few other blog posts regarding '30 things before 30' and thought I may as well do one myself, considering I am turning 26 this year I do not have long to go ;) I don't like putting a time limit on things, you never know what life may bring you or what opportunities will arise but I guess these are more wants and wishes then things that I HAVE to do. They are not in any order regarding how much I want to do them, just completely random. Perhaps I can cross them off if I ever get to do any of them :P

1.Finish writing a book and send it to an agent
2.  Go on a rollercoaster
3.  Have a baby
4.  Get married
5. Raise money for an important cause
6. Give blood
7. Visit New York
8. Wear a bikini on the beach
9. Be a bridesmaid
10. Be in a job that I love
11. Own a pink smeg fridge
12.  Meet all my lovely online friends
13. Own a pet
14. Own my own home
15. Eat a whole entire fudge cake
16. Investigate my family tree
17. Go to a concert on my own
18. Learn some Italian
19. Visit somewhere in Asia
20. Run for more than 3 miles
21. Watch the sunrise on a beach
22. Attend a football match
23. Visit Disneyland Florida
24.  Overcome a phobia
25. Take a roadtrip with friends
26. Have a week without Facebook/Twitter
27. Take up a new sport
28. Go to a music festival
29. Be finacially secure
30. Have my hair short

So...not any particularly groundbreaking stuff right? I guess some of them are easy to do and some not so much. I don't ever expect to be able to do all of them. Of particular significance to me are numbers 3, 4 and 10. Recently I have become quite broody and feeling the motherly feelings (although to be honest I have felt this for a while) and I would love to have a child by the time I am 30. I know there is no use putting a time limit on these things but I like to think it will happen and that I would make a good mum :D it is definitely something I want as well as Michael but with so much of life ahead of us we are in no big rush. Before it happens I would love to get savings behind me to give our child the best possible start in life but who knows what life will bring hey? Of course, any girl my age dreams of marriage so this is also something quite important to me...although as I said before there is no point in time limits and to me, being in such a committed and special relationship is something I always feel very grateful for and something which is more special to me than a piece of paper. I would also love to be in a job I love and I really can't say what that will be now, I am willing to try out new things and if I could just write at home and get paid for it then I would but unfortunately life is not that easy!

Also, I haven't mentioned it in my list but I would love to have able to have overcome my anxiety or at least only 'have it in the background' by the time I am 30. I hope by then I will have gained confidence, independence and also the ability to just RELAX and enjoy life. I don't think I do enough of that. I would like to think by the time I am 30 I will not be worrying about all the petty things that I do right now. Overall I just want to have experienced new things and grown up. I may not do all of this by the time I am 30 or even 40 but I want to at least try...

xoxo
